Life, Love, and other Miracles

Renewed Blessings!

Here I sit, while not often these days, pondering life.  Especially now as I watch my new bundle of joy sleep, rest and dream.  I think of all the blessings there are in this world and how often, with the fast pace of everything do we miss them.  My love is reminding me to take a step back, slow down, and truly appreciate all that life is.  The simple, sweet, and innocent things about life, love and miracles.  Many things we often miss in this technology driven world, the simple smile as she falls asleep, the way she sings to her self to fall asleep, the way she gently and ever so delicately resting her hands against my skin as she feeds.  Even the way she holds on to me so tightly when she is scared, yet turns away so independently when she is sure of herself.  So blessed to have this time with her to treasure.  

While technology can take you away from the present, it also is fostering of life.  Allowing students and teachers to interact and teach, allowing friends to stay connected/reconnect/ even meet for the first time.  I am grateful to stay connected and appreciate it even more in this fast paced world.  Life is precious and even more so when you learn of a friends diagnosis of cancer- thankfully all removed and she is now cancer free.
